FS: Minnie Winnie
A little while ago, I was dreaming of a Pulse. But there wasn't one around, and after a while I sorta forgot about it.... Of course, the original thing I wanted, from the time i was a kid, is a Minnie Winnie :) We used to see them sometimes at campgrounds when we traveled around on family trips, and I always liked the way they looked....
And on day recently, while driving to 'the cities', I came across one FOR SALE sitting by a county road! Seeing this Minnie Winnie again brought back my on-again, off-again 'dream' of living as a sometime vagabond. That is, I could just travel around, set up shop somewhere for a little while, play some live music into the scene, and then move to another place...
I think you'd basically want to go to small and medium-sized cities with good camping options close to (or inside) town. So maybe, then, you'd stay for 1 week in, say, Iowa City, and then down to the place where they do the Daytrotter sessions. And then possibly cut over to Columbus, OH. And maybe from there to Bowling Green, KY.... eventually ending up at Ashville, NC....
I think it could actually work, since my work is (at least) 95% remote, and payments almost always happen through direct deposit (and can be made to always do so). I could then spend my spare time going into the town/city, checking things out, going to clubs, and playing out wherever/whenever... Basically making connections, to be able to follow up on the next time I'm in town.
Okay, that sounds awesome, you say. Can you think of any really good reasons why you shouldn't do something like that? Just the money aspect, really. I'd have to make sure I could afford doing this at my current income stream. But consider that this classic, near perfect-condition vehicle is being asked $5,000 (or best offer)...
Otherwise, there's the probability that for a while, anyway, I'll probably want to do this more during the fall/winter months... Anyway, I'm starting to blabber a bit now (though I'm not blagging ;) Soo by now you're probably wondering what this vehicle looks like, which has re-kindled my wayfaring flame. Check it out here in the photos area :)
