B.C. Day
Dear reader - things have been crazy around here lately, and I haven't managed to write. And while that's true, I want you to know that I've thought of writing many times. In fact, here are some journal entries I almost wrote:
- Talking about this little "thing" i've been doing lately: ending sentences with similar sounding (often extended) words, like that's good to ghost (instead of go)...
- Mention the fact that at 1:11 p.m. today I saw a woman in downtown St. Paul standing outside in a bright purple short-sleeved shirt (yea spring!). 15 minutes later, I saw ducks again for the 1st time since last November (B.C. Day, you rock).
- Sometimes a big, intimidating city dog will stop barking from behind the fence when you walk up to it's neighbor's front door (seemingly because it likes you). That is a pretty wild/surreal feeling...
- Which reminds me of recently reading and talking about a man who lived with wolves.
All together, that's just how it goes sometimes when it's the end of the month.... But the main thing I wanted to say right now is happy "B.C. Day"! (You know, the day every year when we pay tribute to that time known in the Roman calendar as B.C.)
And I'll admit a certain proclivity for this day too, as normally I don't think much about living life in one of the years B.C. But you can definitely tell that I'm thinking about it right now, whilst typing on my macbook ;) So anyway, let's all say it one more time (together) - Happy B.C. Day, B. Great! Now I'm going off to rock.
